Info: Adopted in 1951, the Makarov PM was the standard issued sidearm for Soviet forces throughout the cold war and continued to serve after the collapse. although officially replaced in 2003, the Makarov continues to serve in the Russian military and in their law enforcement agencies. The Makarov PM and its design were also used by several Soviet Satellite nations like East Germany, Bulgaria and Romania. Several variants exist today and are still used in a number of countries.
